Christian Husum

Christian co-founded OptiNordic Shipping Limited (Isle of Man) with Dan Jespersen of 7C in 2011, which, since inception, has warehoused bulk carriers, tankers, and container vessels for major US and European banks. Christian's responsibilities as a director include accounting, finance, and legal. He also undertakes business generation and structuring duties.

Originally a lawyer, Christian has worked in several industries including shipping, construction, finance, and media with a sharp focus on Assets, both as an employee and as a founder.

Dr. Jochen Körber

Jochen has over 25 years’ experience in all aspects of the management of investment funds for tangible assets. Since 2003 he has been involved in the financial structuring and day-to-day operation of more than 40 asset investments in the maritime industry, focusing on the three major shipping segments: tankers, container ships, and bulk carriers.

He has been involved in 7C Shipping since 2016 and is currently responsible for the dry-bulk fleet managed under the 7C structure. At the same time, he’s working at the management level of KGAL, Munich, one of the leading independent tangible asset managers worldwide. Together with Dan Jespersen, he was in charge of the joint venture between KGAL and V.Ships Group for over 10 years. A notable deal during that period was a leasing transaction, for which KGAL won the Marine Money leasing deal of the year award.

Before Jochen joined KGAL, he completed a Master’s in Law at Munich University and became Dr. of law at the FU Berlin in 1998.

Dan Jespersen

Dan founded 7C Shipping Ltd in 2012 and subsequently created and developed the 7C Ethos.

Dan has over 25 years’ experience in the maritime industry. The last 20 years have been focused on the commercial side including financial structuring and the management of asset investments in the maritime industry. During this time Dan has participated in and led the creation of financial structures involving over 50 vessels with a total value of close to USD 3 billion. One notable deal was a leasing transaction for KGAL which won the Marine Money Leasing Deal of the Year.

Prior to founding 7C Shipping, Dan was employed within V.Group where his most recent positions were CEO of V.Ships Financial and Managing Director of AL Ships GmbH.

Before V.Ships Dan was employed by A.P. Moller/Maersk where he held a number of commercial and management positions including Head of Daily Operations of the bulk sector and part of the senior management team in Maersk Brazil.

Dan trained in the Royal Danish Navy Academy where he graduated top in his class as a Master Mariner and Tactical Officer, and also holds a graduate degree in Business Administration in International Management and Economics.
